Join the Borderless Engineering Guild

Hiring exceptional builders, not résumés.

AhsanWeb is an independent, async-first guild of engineers and technical specialists. We build server-rendered systems, hybrid retrieval pipelines and AI-search architectures for enterprise and B2B SaaS clients — then document the work so the whole guild gets stronger. Geography is irrelevant. Craft, accountability and shipped output are not.

Operating principle

Craft over bureaucracy

The driving force behind this model is a deep focus on coding and craftsmanship, while ensuring a work environment free from bureaucratic complexities.

Proof we look for

Two or three writing samples: docs, SOPs, ADRs or technical explainers.

Module 02 · Hiring processAsync-first · evidence-led

Five steps. No theatre.

We designed the process for people who would rather build than perform. Every stage is documented, and the technical trial is paid.

01

Send proof of work

Email your track, location, availability and two or three links that show what you have shipped. GitHub, live URLs, case studies, benchmarks or writing all count. No cover-letter performance required.

02

Async portfolio review

We read the work before we talk. There is no live whiteboard puzzle and no unpaid take-home marathon. We look for technical decisions, debugging depth and evidence that you can own a problem end to end.

03

Paid scoped sprint

Shortlisted specialists receive one real ticket with a written spec and acceptance criteria. It is scoped for roughly five to ten focused hours, paid at the agreed rate, and reviewed like normal production work.

04

Squad fit conversation

A short written or live conversation about ownership, communication, security habits and how you handle blocked work. We assess how you think, not how fast you can recite framework trivia.

05

Onboard into the guild

Accepted specialists receive portal access, the production toolchain, the SOP library and a first sprint queue. Onboarding is documented, async and designed to get you shipping without procurement friction.

Module 03 · Evaluation

What we actually evaluate

No credential theatre. No keyword-matching your résumé. These are the signals that decide whether someone joins a squad.

📦

Shipped work over credentials

A production URL, merged PR or measurable outcome tells us more than a degree, a certificate stack or a polished résumé. We hire for evidence.

🔬

Depth over surface area

We want specialists who can explain the tradeoff behind a rendering strategy, a retrieval pipeline or a schema decision — not generalists who have only watched the tutorial.

🧠

Debugging judgment

Can you isolate a hydration mismatch, a retrieval miss or a crawl regression without guessing? We value calm diagnosis and reproducible fixes.

✍️

Written clarity

Async work runs on writing. A clear ticket update, SOP or architecture note prevents more chaos than a fast reply ever will. English fluency is not required; clarity is.

🛡️

Security and ownership

You protect secrets, lock your screen, use the VPN and flag risk early. Ownership means surfacing a blocker within hours, not hiding it until the deadline.

🌍

Timezone respect

No timezone is primary. You communicate across timezones in writing, tag urgency honestly and do not expect instant replies outside your working window.

Module 04 · What you get

The operating deal

Freedom and accountability are the same package. The guild removes office friction and replaces it with clear expectations.

🌐

100% remote

Work from any country. No relocation, no office, no commute.

⏳

Async-first

No mandatory standups. Protect your peak focus hours.

🛠️

Tools provided

Notion, Linear, Loom, GitHub and AI API access are provisioned.

💸

Global payouts

Contract, retainer and full-time models with documented rates.

📈

Tier progression

Advance through contribution volume, output quality and squad trust.

📚

SOP library

Every solved problem becomes reusable documentation, not tribal knowledge.

🚫

No surveillance

No time trackers, screenshot software or activity monitoring.

🗣️

Language inclusion

English is the docs interface. Your accent or native tongue never decides your place.

⚠️Reality checkRead this before you apply

What this is — and what it is not

This is a guild, not a traditional agency

Specialists deploy directly into real repositories with real acceptance criteria. There is no layer of junior account managers between your work and the client.

There are no offices

The guild is distributed across Dhaka, Lisbon, Chiang Mai, Lagos, São Paulo and beyond. Physical presence has no value here; output does.

We do not track hours

Performance is judged on the quality and correctness of the deliverable, not the number of hours a screen was open. Accountability comes from clear specs and public commit history.

English is for documentation

Docs, PRs and tickets are written in English so the whole guild can collaborate. Grammar perfection is not a hiring criterion; clear technical writing is.

Applications are rolling

We hire when the work and the fit are right, not against a fixed annual headcount. A strong application can stay active for future squad openings.

The trial sprint is paid

We do not ask specialists to work for free. The scoped sprint is a paid piece of real work with a written spec, not an unpaid homework assignment.

Module 05 · FAQHiring questions, answered plainly

Guild careers FAQ

01

Is every role fully remote?

Yes. Every guild track is remote and location-independent. There is no office, no relocation package and no requirement to overlap with a specific timezone. You need reliable internet, a working machine and a secure setup.

02

Do I need to be in a specific country or timezone?

No. The guild includes specialists across 18+ countries and 12+ languages. Some client work has legal or data-residency constraints, but the default hiring model is worldwide and async-first.

03

Are these full-time jobs or freelance contracts?

Both models exist. Depending on the track, client demand and your contribution volume, engagement can be a scoped contract, a part-time retainer or full-time guild membership. The application asks for your availability so we can match the right model.

04

Do I need fluent English?

No. English is the shared language for documentation, tickets and PRs, but fluency is not a hiring test. Clear technical writing — even with imperfect grammar — is enough. Your code, decisions and deliverables matter more than your prose.

05

Do you require a degree or certification?

No. We do not screen for degrees, bootcamp certificates or keyword-stuffed résumés. We evaluate proof of work: production systems, repositories, audits, benchmarks, writing samples and the quality of your technical reasoning.

06

What happens in the paid scoped sprint?

You receive one real ticket with a written spec, acceptance criteria and a timebox of roughly five to ten focused hours. It is paid at the agreed rate and reviewed like normal production work. The goal is to see how you scope, build, document and communicate on something real.

07

How long does the hiring process take?

Most applications receive an initial response within five to seven business days. The full process — portfolio review, paid sprint and fit conversation — usually takes two to three weeks depending on scheduling and the track.

08

Is there a time tracker or productivity surveillance?

No. There is no time-tracking software, no screenshot monitoring and no activity scoring. Accountability is built through clear deliverables, documented acceptance criteria and reviewable commit history.

09

How do I apply?

Email [email protected] with the subject “Guild Application — [Track]”. Include your location, timezone, availability, rate expectation and two or three proof-of-work links. If you are unsure which track fits, send an open application and explain the overlap.
